Information for Professionals

For health care and social service professionals Family Resource Center is committed to making your job easier.

We are on call 24/7 to provide information, counsel birth mothers, and offer any assistance that you need. Our staff and our policies are flexible and accommodating, and we are always respectful of your organization’s adoption policy.

We offer in-service training, in one to three-hour sessions, on a variety of topics to keep you and your staff fully informed. We cover:

• Adoption law and The Abandonment Act
• Adoption issues
• Staff sensitivity to birth mothers and adoptive parents
• HIPPA regulations, and privacy issues surrounding adoption
• HIPPA restrictions on medical records in adoption cases

We can include any and all of these topics and tailor the presentation to your needs. We will conduct the training at your chosen location, and there is no cost to you.
